New guidance on masks this summer

New guidance from state DOH on masks this summer
Posted on 06/25/2021

Dear Families,

Happy Summer! It has been a crazy ride, but we made it! Thank you again for your input and patience throughout this school year. Although we hope there is never a year like it again, we did learn a lot from the experience. The fresh ideas about teaching and learning, the use of technology and the importance of supporting everyone's mental, physical, social and emotional health are some of the examples we will carry forward.

We haven't received formal state guidance about how schools will operate in the fall, but we have clarification for the summer. School buildings that house in-person learning this summer must continue the COVID-19 regulations outlined in the June 7th, 2021 NYSDOH guidance. This includes such measures as face coverings inside school buildings, daily health screens and social distancing. In all other district buildings, facilities, and grounds, COVID-19 restrictions are now lifted. If you have any questions, please contact me or your child(ren)'s building principal.

PARADE TODAY! Our 2nd annual IHS Seniors Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. It’s a great (pandemic-generated) way to celebrate the Class of 2021. The route is Cooper-Pinegrove-List-Hoover. Hope you can take a few minutest to cheer them on!

Thank you again for a great year!
