The West Irondequoit CSD Board of Education approved the renaming of one of its performing arts center's in June of 2022 and on Tuesday a dedication ceremony was held to honor Diane and Chuck Irwin. More than 160 people packed into the the Irwin Center for the Performing Arts at Irondequoit High School to honor Diane and Chuck, the IHS graduates and longtime contributors to West Irondequoit Performing Arts. Diane, who retired as a teaching assistant in 2022, has been head costume designer and directed the Dake Jr. HS annual musical for decades. Her husband, Chuck has been technical director and the mastermind behind set design and construction.
