Mr. Nick DiMartino appointed Dake Jr. HS Assistant Principal

Mr. Nick DiMartino has been appointed Assistant Principal of Dake Junior High School by the West Irondequoit Central School District Board of Education. Currently an English Language Arts teacher (grades 7-8) in the Honeoye Falls-Lima CSD, Mr. DiMartino replaces Ms. Maryanne Heiman, who was appointed Dake’s new Principal last August.

A Webster Schroeder High School graduate, Mr. DiMartino also was an eighth-grade special education teacher at HF-L and previously taught ELA for one year in Fairport. He earned his undergraduate degree in English and Adolescent Education in May 2014 from St. John Fisher College. He also owns a Master’s Degree from Fisher in Grades 7-12 Special Education. Earlier this year he earned his Building and School Leadership advanced certification from the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education.

Mr. DiMartino is scheduled to start at Dake in mid-November.
