Culturally Responsive Education
What does Culturally Responsive Education mean in WICSD?
To ensure all students feel welcomed and included in their learning, we will establish a culturally responsive educational structure in which instruction will consistently expose students to diverse racial, ethnic, religious, gender and sexual orientation, political, and personal perspectives; this will build a student’s capacity for empathy, as well as create a learning environment where all students feel seen and heard. All students will learn within an inclusive community that ensures they have access to challenging and rigorous experiences that promote their learning and growth.
