Below is a timeline for the Pre-Kindergarten (Universal Pre-K) program for the 2025-2026 school year. Note: If the number of applicants exceeds available seats in the program, the District will utilize a lottery to determine enrollment.
- December 2025 - January 2026: Requests for Proposals and Contract Renewals for eligible Community Based Organizations to determine slots available for next school year.
- February 6, 2026: Lottery application opens. For the application form for the lottery, click the box above starting Feb. 6, 2026.
- March 13, 2026: Lottery application closes. The link will no longer be available.
- March 18, 2026: Pre-K (UPK) lottery takes place
- March 19-20, 2026: Acceptance emails and waitlist emails sent to families
- Week of March 23, 2026: Formal letters sent to families on the waitlist; formal letters sent to families that were accepted to register.
- April 30, 2026: Pre-K/UPK registration deadline
- June 2026: Pre-K/UPK Screening Days; exact dates TBD
