Chrissy Miga has been working in various roles in West Irondequoit for over 20 years. She started as an elementary teacher with most of her years as a 3rd grade teacher at Southlawn. After moving through various district level curriculum positions, she became Assistant Superintendent in 2021. Chrissy leads efforts to enhance curriculum, instruction, and student learning by staying up to date on state standards, as well as research-based best practices. Her role encompasses oversight of curriculum development, professional learning, student services, data and assessments, and homeschooling inititatives.

Kim Cristal is the Director of Humanities for West Irondequoit Schools and has been a passionate and dedicated educator for over 20 years. In this role, she leads and supports curriculum design and instruction across the district in early literacy, English Language Arts, Social Studies, World Languages, Business, and Library. Additionally, she supports teachers by facilitating high-quality and research-based professional learning experiences across grades Pre-K through 12.

Orlando Marrero is the K-12 Director of STEAM and has been an educator for 20 years. He supports curriculum design and instruction in Science, Technology, Art, Mathematics and Music. In collaboration with the rest of the administrative team and teacher leaders, he provides professional learning experiences on high quality instruction across content areas. Orlando is also an instructor of science education at the University of Rochester where he received his Doctorate in Education.
