The West Irondequoit CSD Board of Education is seeking individuals interested in being our district’s nominee for the Monroe BOCES Board of Education. To be eligible, you must be a West Irondequoit resident not employed by the district and at least 18 years old. All West Irondequoit residents will soon receive postcards with this information.
Prospective nominees must submit a letter of interest and resume to WICSD District Clerk, Mrs. Jenna Lustig, by 5 p.m. Friday, March 8th. Materials can be submitted by:

The Monroe Board of Education is comprised of 10 non-salaried individuals nominated by their component district Boards of Education. Names of nominees will be presented to the Clerk of the BOCES Board of Education at least 14 days prior to its April Annual Meeting. BOCES Board members are then elected to a three-year term by a majority vote of all component school district board members present and voting.
As elected representatives, the BOCES Board members are responsible for setting policies and working with the Administration to implement them.
