June Poems

Our Flag

As red as fire,

As blue as the sky,

As white as snow -

See our flag fly!

Three pretty colors

Wave at the sky,

Red, white and blue

These colors are,

And every state has its very own star.

Hold up the flag.

Hold it up high.

Then say Hurrah,

For flag day!

At School

We play a lot of games

And we learn each other's names.

We count to ten or more.

And make a grocery store.

We learn our ABC's.

We make 3 sets of 3's.

And a puppet from a bag.

And then salute the flag.

We listen and we write

We read and we recite.

I just can not remember.

All I learned in September.

Busy Summer

Bees make wax and honey.

Spiders make webs of silk.

Wasps make paper houses.

Cows make cream and milk.

Dandelions make pollen for the bees to take.

Wish that I had something I knew how to make.
