Three Seats Open on West
Irondequoit School Board
The seats held by Marcia
Bovenzi, Margaret Burns and Duane Krueger are up for election in May 2007. Members of the seven person board serve
three-year terms.
Mrs. Bovenzi was appointed
to fill the seat of Suzanne Dreher after her sudden passing last spring. Due to this situation, the two candidates who
receive the most votes will serve three-year terms beginning July 1. The candidate who receives the third highest
number of votes will serve just over a one-year term. That candidate will begin service immediately
after the election and serve until June 30, 2008, filling the remainder of Mrs.
Dreher’s term.
Candidate petitions are
available from the District Office on weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Petitions must be signed by 52 qualified
voters and filed with District Clerk Mary Kay Herman by Monday, April 16 at 5
