Rock Doves

Rock doves are very stupendous, they all have two legs and two wings.  Not all birds can fly,  but most birds can fly.  Birds lay hard shelled eggs. Birds have a good sense of  hearing also.  

        Did you ever hear of the Rock Dove?  The rock dove mostly lives in the cities of Urban.  The rock dove has a dark bill.  The female has a beautiful color pattern unlike the male that has no color pattern.  The rock dove is about 33 centimeters tall.  The main color of the rock dove is light blue.  The rock dove probably weighs about 8 lbs.               

A rock dove can flap their wings up to 82 times every mile.   The rock doves call is beautiful but very low it goes coo - a - roo.     

        Did you know that rock doves live up to 48 years old!?  Rock doves don't migrate.  The rock doves nest is made out of twigs.  They make their nest on a ledge or in a hole.  The rock doves lay about 1 to 2 white eggs a month.

        Did you know that rock doves have a diet?  Rock doves eat seeds, spilled grain, bread, green plants, and insects.  Rock doves have a lot of enemies.  One of the enemies of the rock dove is the Peregrine Falcon.  The rock dove doesn't hop, clime, or waddle so it has to walk.
