Nationals Champions
Last Year's Final Results: During April 25- April 27, 2001 DECA, Kmart, Kelloggs, and KnowledgeMatters, Inc. sponsored the VirtualBusiness Challenge Nationals. The Challenge was a LIVE event held in the exhibition hall during DECA's International CDC conference in Anaheim, CA. The 16 VBC finalists participated all vying for the top prize of $2,000 in prize money and recognition at the Grand Awards Ceremony.
During the finals, each team managed all aspects of running a store including: pricing, promotion, merchandising, purchasing, staffing, and location. In all rounds, teams challenged fellow DECA members in live action! The goal of the challenge was to earn the most profits for their store.
After three days of intense competitions
we crowned our champions. The winning team was VSD from West Irondequoit
High School in Rochester, NY. Congratulations also to the runner-up
Sting, from Manchester Essex Regional High School in Manchester-By-The-Sea,
MA. The teams not only had lots of fun participating, but it was
great to watch the excitement.Business Challenge Nationals. The Challenge
