This class gives every student the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of Electricity/Electronics. This is an introductory course, with no prior electrical knowledge needed or assumed.
Topics covered include: basic house wiring, including how electricity is delivered to a home, simple circuits assembled from kits and fabricated from student designs, understanding and using electrical symbols, proper sketching of all circuits made or studied, experiments with basic and advanced electronic components, safe application of concepts taught and exploration of electronic careers.
Students who pass this course have been pre-approved to receive college credit for ELT 130 from Monroe Community College. They must co-register and pay tuition to MCC at a reduced rate. Forms and information will be available at the beginning of the school year.
