Study Tips

  • Get a study buddy to interact with, share ideas, compare notes, and quiz each other.
  • Redraw and label key diagrams.
  • Rewrite notes for all "science factoids".
  • Go over unit outlines (available on website) and answer all questions with examples/pictures.
  • Teach the material to someone else.
  • Take control. Make a list of all the things you need to do. Divide your workload into manageable chunks. Prioritize. Schedule your time realistically. Stick to your deadlines.
  • Get into the habit of actively studying each day.
  • Choose quiet places to study that are free from distractions (TV, telephone, small siblings).
  • When you feel yourself losing focus, take a break and walk around a bit.
