Each location has features or attractions that support your classroom instruction in the earth sciences. Enjoy the experiences. Chimney Bluffs State Park – Erosion of Drumlins along the Lake Ontario Shore. This trip is best in the dry months, very muddy in springtime. Watkins Glen NYS Museum in Albany – a great one day road trip Niagara Falls, NY Schoellkopf Geological Museum in Lockport, NY Robert Moses Hydroelectric Power Plant in Lockport, NY - They offer tours of the plant (call ahead) and have interactive exhibits on power generation. A nice complement to visiting Niagara Falls. Ontario Science Center – Toronto, Canada. This is a better weekend trip, but worth it for the diversity of its interactive exhibits.
