Mr. Miller’s Discrete Math Class Expectations
BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS:
· TRY YOUR BEST! (E = R)
· No talking when I am talking.
· Respect others and classroom.
· Come in the room in an orderly fashion and be ready when the bell rings.
· Please remain in your seat until the bell rings.
· Ask permission to leave your seat.
MATERIALS:
Bring to class everyday the following:
· Spiral Notebook
· 1 Folder
· Pencil
· Calculator (A TI-83+ Graphing Calculator is recommended; if not, the TI 30XII-S Scientific Calculator is suggested)
HOMEWORK POLICY:
· We will have homework.
· Homework must be completed by the due date.
· I will be grading based on completeness and accuracy.
· Homework completion will count as your effort grade.
STUDENT EVALUATION
· Tests/Quizzes - 70%
· Homework Accuracy– 15%
· Effort – 15%
ABSENCE AND ILLNESS POLICY:
Please see me to get caught up!
· If you miss class you are still responsible for the material that was covered.
· Missed tests/quizzes – You can make it up until the test or quiz is handed back to the class. If it is still not made up, then you have earned a zero.
· You will receive an extra day to make up missed work for each day that you are absent.
· Special circumstances are for special situations, please talk with me.
