February:

*Thanks to all who donated books to our used book drive.  We ended up with just under 700 books!  Period 3 was the winning class with 489 books...they will have a bagel and donut breakfast !

-Literature Circle Unit.  Students are reading a book of their choice and meeting five times as Literature Circle teams.  Finish books over break!

_Students are listening to Tuesdays with Morrie each Tuesday and responding, in writing, to a critical lens quote.

Looking Ahead to March:

We will be starting Shakespeare's Macbeth and students will write their final essay for the unit on the importance of imagery in the play.
