Kids Project Puppets
Kids Project is a program sponsored by the Finger Lakes Developmental
Disability Service Office. Using
puppets, students are trained in the Drama II Class
in the Japanese style of "bunraku" puppetry. After completing
training, students travel to various schools throughout the city of Rochester
and Monroe County to teach third-graders about disability awareness.
In addition to watching three vignettes, the students are
invited to ask their new, disabled friends questions about their disabilities
and their lives.
