Masquerade 2008
IHS Class of 2008 – Senior Banquet & Celebration
Dear Parent/Guardian of an Irondequoit High School Senior:
The month of June will be an exciting one for your senior, with many activities leading up to graduation. One such tradition is the party given by parents for seniors which follows the Senior Banquet. Here is some important information about this year’s 23rd annual Senior Celebration!
WHAT:
Ø An opportunity for seniors to celebrate in a safe, alcohol and drug free environment
after the Senior Banquet
Ø A Party funded solely by donations from community businesses and parents
Ø Planned, organized and staffed by parents for seniors
WHEN:
Ø Friday, June 20, 2008
Ø Begins at 5:45 p.m. (sharp) when the Seniors board buses at IHS and ends at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday
WHERE:
Ø The Senior Banquet is at the Harro East starting at 7:00 p.m.
Ø Around 9:00 p.m. the buses leave Harro East and go to the Ferry Terminal Departure Hall in Charlotte for Masquerade 2008 – casino games, music, prizes and lots of FUN!
Ø At 12:30 a.m., the buses bring Seniors back to Irondequoit High
Ø The event ends at 12:30 a.m. at IHS
HOW: (can you help, you ask?)
Ø Encourage your son or daughter to come to the celebration!
Ø Parent Volunteer Form attached – please help in any way you can!
Ø Send in your donation. With a $25 donation from each family we can create a truly memorable event.
IMPORTANT:
Ø Seniors are expected to stay for the entire event. Permission to leave early requires prior written authorization by a parent or guardian and must be submitted with the Agreement
Ø We have to be able to reach you in the event of an emergency – please be available at the telephone number you provide
Ø Inappropriate behavior is a cause for dismissal from the party. If it is your child, you will be called to pick him/her up regardless of the hour, wherever the group is currently
Ø You will receive a phone call if your child is signed up and doesn’t show to board the bus
Ø Seniors who attend the Banquet and not the party must provide their own transportation
Ø The Celebration is not covered by the Senior Fees paid – it is funded only by donations
In order to attend, each senior and a parent/guardian must complete two forms – the attached Agreement and the Medical Information/Consent form on its reverse. The completed forms can be returned to the Senior Class Mailbox in the IHS Main Office or by mailing to:
IHS Main Office
