There will be opportunities to ask questions at

each of the budget presentation meetings. 

The Board of Education will adopt the school district budget on

April 24^th.  After that date, copies will be available at the District Office, the public library and in all school buildings.

SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS

   The seats held by John Schoen and John Vay are up for election

   in May 2008.  Members of the seven person board serve three-  

   year terms.   

   Candidate petitions are available from the District Office on   

   weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Qualifications:

· must be a United States citizen;

· must be age 18 or older;

· must be able to read and write;

· must be and have been a resident of West Irondequoit for at least one year prior to election;

· cannot be a district employee;

· there is a limit of one family member on the BOE;

· may not simultaneously hold another

    incompatible public office;

· must not have been removed from school district office within one year preceding election.

   Petitions must be filed with District Clerk Mary Kay Herman by

   Monday, April 21^st at 5 p.m.
