The Dake library is having its spring book fair Monday, March 22nd to Thursday, March 25th. Daily hours will be 7:40 to 3:15. An "Evening of Book Talks," which invites students to talk about books they have enjoyed and recommend for reading, will be held Monday evening beginning at 6 pm. The book fair will be open for business Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm. All are welcome.
Talent Show - 8th grade auditions will be held THIS THURSDAY, March 18th, after school in the Dake Chorus room.
Here is some important information about audtions:
Ø If you haven’t done so already, you must sign up in the counseling office and get a copy of the audition guidelines.
Ø Please make sure to make arrangements for transportation.
Ø If you play on a sports team, please be sure to let your coach know.
Ø Please bring everything you need to school on the morning of the audition. If you are bringing anything that needs to be stored for the day, you can bring it into the counseling office for the day.
Ø Only people auditioning will be allowed in the Chorus room!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
The February Fundraiser for Operation Haiti is still not over! We will be raffling off this quilt, made by this year’s and last year’s 7th grade FACS classes, for the rest of the week. Raffle tickets are ONLY one dollar and can be purchased from Mrs. Quinlan in room 129.
There will also be 6 runner-up winners who will receive fleece blankets made by an Iroquois Odyssey team. Be sure to give one last time to this great cause and purchase your ticket today!
Spirit Day - Today, Wednesday is St. Patrick’s Day, so wear green! Which team will be lucky enough to earn the most spirit points?
Chess Club -The Chess Club will meet on Thursday, March 18th in room 123.
Cable Club will meet today during your lunch period. We will not meet after school.
Let’s celebrate spring at the “Spring Thing”…this Friday night at IHS. We’re going to have a DJ, DDR, basketball, volleyball and other games….you can dance, “Hoop It Up” and just hang out with all your friends.
Tickets are $3.00 and will be sold during lunch this week. Grab a permission slip too. If you bought a ticket for the last dance that was cancelled…you can use that ticket for this “Spring Thing”, but you need a permission slip. It all happens from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria and gyms. Don’t skip it….it’s going to be very fun!

Please turn in your spring sports forms to the Health Office as soon as possible! Physicals are being done next week in the Health Office if you need one. Please sign up today.
National Foreign Language Week
Good morning! National Foreign Language week begins today…….To celebrate, we will be reading a question each morning highlighting each of the five languages offered at Dake.
