Quote of the Day

“We are cups constantly and quietly being filled.  The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.”  Ray Bradbury

Welcome to Geography Awareness Week, celebrated at our school this week.  Over the course of the week, we are having awareness questions each day to educate each of us on important contributions of geography in our lives.

Yesterday’s question was:

Name one of two states that border the most other states?

Answer:  Missouri or Tennessee.  Winner:  Mike Mazzara

Today’s Question is:

Name one of the two states that do not have any counties?

Answers may be dropped off today in Room 319 by 2:15 p.m.  From the pool of correct answers, we will draw a grand prize winner, to be announced during tomorrow morning’s announcements.

Please remember that this Friday, November 21 is Geography T-Shirt/Sweatshirt Day, where students and staff may wear a shirt from their favorite place and have their name entered in a drawing for a grand prize. Students will have their names entered in their social studies classes and staff will be able to enter in the office on Friday.

Many thanks to our Dake PTSA, which is providing all of the prizes for this special week.  We thank our supportive parents and guardians for being so generous.
