Welcome to Women’s History Awareness Week, celebrated at our school this week.  Over the course of the week, we are having awareness questions each day to educate each of us on the important contributions of women to our lives in this nation.

Yesterday’s question:  Which woman was elected Irondequoit Town Supervisor in 2009? Answer:  Mary Joyce D’Aurizio  Winner:  Lauren Russi

Today’s question:  Which First Lady escaped from the White House when it burned during the War of 1812?

Answers may be dropped off today in Room 319 by 2:15 p.m.  From the pool of correct answers, we will draw a grand prize winner, to be announced during tomorrow morning’s announcements.  Many thanks to our Dake PTSA who is sponsoring this event by providing the funds for our grand prize all week!

The Sports Hotline is available everyday-it lists all the teams times and places.  Please call 336-3141.
