English Language Arts


With the goal to focus student learning broadly and deeply, the West Irondequoit Guiding Principles serve as the foundation for the West Irondequoit English Language Arts outcomes. The English Language Arts curriculum derives from the national standards in English and the NYS English Language Arts learning standards.

The West Irondequoit English Language Arts curriculum includes the following strands:

Writing Outcomes, Language Skills Outcomes, Reading and Spelling (Word Study) Outcomes, and Comprehension Outcomes.
