| West Irondequoit Schools truly are community schools. The district is proud of the involvement of our residents in our schools, including more than 1000 individuals who volunteer in the district each year. We're also proud of the support of the WEST IRONDEQUOIT FOUNDATION, which is a non-profit organization which raises funds to enhance the education of all West Irondequoit students, and of the WEST IRONDEQUOIT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, which serves as an ongoing connection between the district and our thousands of graduates. In addition, we're pleased that members of the community take full advantage of our facilities meetings, recreation programs, and for continuing their own education through the hundreds of courses offered by our COMMUNITY EDUCATION DEPARTMENT.
