1st Grade Expectations

In first grade, we are clear and consistent in our expectations for students.  Instead of posting rules, we have a chart that says "A first grader...." that tells the students exactly what we expect from them.

A First Grader...

follows directions the first time he/she is asked

listens to the speaker (eyes on the speaker, hands in lap, body still - including mouth)

concentrates on his/her work

is polite (please, thank you, excuse me)

takes care of his/her things (locker, desk, supplies)

cleans up his/her messes

ALWAYS tries his/her best!
