Getting to Know Mrs. McClintic.....

It's hard to believe that it is already my sixth year teaching 3rd grade here at Brookview!  I can't imagine a better learning environment and I am so fortunate to be a part of such an involved and supportive community.

I grew up next door in Pittsford, New York and earned my Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Ithaca.  I loved the beauty of Ithaca- gorges, waterfalls and rolling hills, but boy, was it chilly and cloudy!  I then moved to Boston, Massachusetts where I pursued my Masters in Elementary Education at Tufts University.  What a fun city, with so much to offer!  When we lived there, we saw a couple of Red Sox games and ate lots of seafood.  As much fun as we had, we're not city slickers and I couldn't stay away from home for long.  So, Dr. McClintic and I moved back here in 2003, when he began medical school and I joined the Brookview staff.  Shortly after moving back, we decided to get a dog named Ruloff.  He is a 4 year old cockapoo and he is adorable.  I’m sure you will hear all about his wacky tricks and spunky personality this year!

Besides teaching third grade, some things I like to do are running, reading, mountain biking, hiking, and downhill skiing.  My favorite foods are cheese (the stinky kinds) and chocolate.  My favorite color is green and my lucky number is 22.  I love watching football on television, and I always root for the Buffalo Bills.  I wear my jersey every time I watch a game- it’s #83- does anyone know which player that is?  I’m so excited to learn all about my students’ likes and dislikes and what they like to do for fun!

I can't wait to meet you and get to know you all soon as we learn and grow together at the best school in town!
