Dear Parent and Guardians,

This month there is much to celebrate!  We are all so proud of the children as they complete this school year.  We will be recognizing our children’s success as well as the support of all the adults at our end of the year celebrations including Flag Day, Sports Day, Third Grade Recognition and the end of the year carnival and picnic.

As the end of the school year approaches, please know how much I appreciated your ongoing support to our children’s learning this year, especially in your attendance at the open houses, Evening of Creative and Performing Arts, and all the PTSA events.

A key to the support we feel each day stems from the generosity and commitment of our parents through the PTSA!  We are fortunate in our community to have parents who are willing to invest their time and talents to enrich the lives of our children.  Sincere thanks to the Briarwood PTSA representatives:  Ms. Debbie Grohman, Mrs. Theresa Harte, and Mrs. Jackie Mooney for establishing the partnership between our parent community and our school.  Several events simply could not take place without the help of parent volunteers and this year they have added so much to your child’s school experience.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Allisa Mayer and Mrs. Amy Olyer for being a member of our School Based Planning Team.  The School Based Planning Team involves administrators and faculty, as well as parents working together to develop and monitor the school-wide plan for improved performance of the children at Briarwood School.  Next year Mrs. Alissa Mayer and Ms. Debbie Grohman will be our SBPT members.
