Brief Description:

I found a website that allowed my student to practice inside of and outside of class for our local and state exams this year. From this I created ways in which students can use the website inside and outside class

-Engage students in meaningful review in order to help them review all topics from 7^th and 8^th grade year(s).

Allow student to practice with former NYS 8 Exam questions to allow them to recognize certain questions and styles of questions to increase student success and performance.

Teacher Materials/Resources:
(specific materials the teacher must have to conduct the lesson, e.g. Romeo and Juliet (video), American flag, etc.)

Necessary materials:

Mobile lap top lab

(specific materials the students must have to complete the lesson, e.g. calculators, construction paper, finger paints, etc.)

Necessary materials:
Students will use their review guide to look up questions/ terms that they may not understand.

Procedures:

-Students will first work on questions from the website using a partner.

-After they do a couple of quizzes with a partner, they will then practice a few on their own.

- As they work they are to keep track of their scores as well as the topics that they are getting wrong. This will help them identify the topics and questions that they may need to concentrate on as they prepare for the final exam.

- I linked this site to my website to allow kids more opportunities to practice with these questions from home.

Assessment:

The assessment will come from the results of the NYS 8 Exam. Results to be determined.
