Curriculum Night Power Point Presentation

Brief Description:

Presentation for parents to give an overview of academic and curriculum expectations. Explanations of routines and rituals within the classroom, student responsibilities, daily schedule, parent and teacher expectations, and homework policies.

Ø power point slide show

Ø computer connection to television

Ø one copy per parent of power point slide show for note-taking

Procedures:

Presentation will be narrated by the teacher providing visuals via he power point slide show

Assessment:

Presentation acceptance and understanding of information provided; questions asked after the presentation is completed

Special Comments:

Using a power point slide show, combined with teacher remarks throughout the presentation, enables the teacher to cover important information without omitting any accidentally. In addition, the material can be covered in a timely fashion. By providing parents with a copy of the presentation, they are given a reference that they can use at home.
