Presentation for parents to give an overview of academic and curriculum expectations for 2^nd grade. Explanations for routines and rituals within the classroom.

· power point slide show

· copies of power point slide show for note taking-one per student desk

Procedures:

Presentation will be narrated by the teacher providing visuals via the power point slide show.

Assessment:

Parent acceptance and understanding of information provided; questions asked after presentation is completed

Special Comments:

Using a Power Point during a presentation along with a hard copy of the materials enables teacher to highlight specific areas visually as parents follow along and take notes in the packet provided.
