Title:

Creating a Climatogram using Microsoft Excel

Brief Description:

Students will learn how to create and interpret a climatogram. A climatogram shows the annual temperature and precipitation of an area plotted on one double line, double y-axis graph.  We study climatograms during our biome unit.

- interpret climatograms to answer higher level thinking questions regarding the interaction between living and non-living factors in the environment described by the climatogram

Special Comments:

This is a culminating lesson during our biomes unit.  Students have already spent time researching and jig-sawing the actual biomes so they are very familiar with them.
