Objectives:

Students were engaged in sessions where they were able to download their pictures from the camera onto the laptop.  After that they were able to choose which type of slide transitions they wanted for their picture.  Some students chose to write captions under their pictures.

 

Procedure:

Children were given a digital camera to take pictures during filed trip

*Groups of children that were in the pictures downloaded pictures and put them into power point

*Students chose captions to write and how they wanted the caption to appear on the  slide

*Students then chose font, color and size for their caption and typed that in

*Students chose transition they wanted for their slide as well as speed

 

Assessment

After the powerpoint was finished we played it.  We discussed what changes needed to be made to the speed of the transitions.  Once we made the changes we played it again.  We discussed everything that looked great about our show.  Then we discussed what we would like to try the next time we made a powerpoint presentation.
