Mini Grants - General Information

Mini-Grants offer opportunities for faculty and staff to explore areas of high interest which are clearly beyond the normal expectations of their jobs and responsibilities.

Through its Mini-Grant program, the West Irondequoit Teaching Learning Center will support projects that will
  • explore innovative ideas
  • create collaborative opportunities
  • enhance teaching
  • improve learning

Standard Mini-Grants
Individual teachers or small groups of teachers develop innovative units or major instructional lessons, or enhance teaching materials.

Technology Mini-Grants
Individual teachers or small groups of teachers create innovative learning opportunities for students to directly integrate the use of technology into classroom lessons or units of instruction.

Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 All applications due in the TLC office
Early December

TLC Preview Committee reads applications and provides feedback to applicants

Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 TLC Policy Board reads applications & makes awards
Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 Awards are announced to the WI staff
Friday, May 22, 2009 All project activities must be completed
Friday, June 5, 2009 Final reports on activities and expenditures are due
