Eligibility forms can be picked up in the high school nurse's office .

All other JV/V Sports:  Baseball, Golf, Outdoor Track, Softball, Tennis (Boys)

Eligibility forms can be picked up in the middle school nurse's office beginning February 26.

 

Selective Classification

(For 7th and 8th grade students interested in playing a high school sport.)

(Must be recommended by High School Varsity Coach)

Test Dates:

February 28 and February 29

Make-Up Date:  March 1

 (No additional tests dates after March 1)

Test to be given in the fitness center in the high school. Time:  3:30 pm

 

If your child has been recommended by a High School Varsity coach to tryout for a High School Winter sport - below is the process that needs to occur. If you have questions, please contact the Athletic Department at 336-2936 or 336-3006. 

Ø      1 – Completely fill out the Selective Classification packet.  Return the packet with a current physical dated after March 1, 2011 to the Dake Health office. Selective Classification is a process where the student sees our school physician on Friday, February 17. for an assessment of physical maturation, once clearance is received from our school physician the student then signs up for and takes a physical fitness test.

 Ø      2 – All appointments to see the school physician must be made by by calling the Dake Health Office at 336-2964.

 Ø      3 – You may sign up for the Physical Fitness test in the High School Athletic office in person or by calling 336-2936.

If you have any questions regarding your child playing a High School sport, please contact Dave Green in the Athletic Department at 336-3006.

If you have questions regarding the Selective Classification process or physical information please contact Nancy Bottiglier, R.N. at the Dake Health Office at 336-2964.

 

Forms will not be accepted if they are dated more than 30 days before the start of the sport. Please note: Your child may not practice until he/she has a physical on file in the nurse’s office, current within one calendar year from August 1, 2010 for high school sports and September 1, 2010 for middle school sports and your HIPPA form signed.

Some of our games are broadcast on the Irondequoit Sports Broadcasting Network, an organization staffed by students, faculty, administration, parents, and friends of Irondequoit High School (Rochester, New York). The Network telecasts sporting events of the high school and the Town of Irondequoit on Time Warner's Cable Access Channels 12 and 15(North), and sporting events of a more wide-spread interest on Time Warner's Leased Access Channel 78 throughout the entire Time Warner franchise area in the Rochester, New York area. ISBN is a proud member of ICAT - Irondequoit Community Access Television.

1. ISBN Live whenever possible will present live home sporting events on Cable Channel 12 from Irondequoit High School.
2. ISBN Tonight will air on Cable Channel 12 at 10:05 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and feature first run and recent contests. Events that cannot be shown live will appear on the next "ISBN Tonight".
3. ISBN Classic will air Monday through Friday nights at 10:05 pm on Cable Channel 15. This is ISBN's first venture on Channel 15 and will feature the best of prior season and championship contests.
