is currently taking applications for Certified Lifeguards to
staff the pool in September. Please see below for job description and

Lifeguard Position:
This is an hourly position to provide
professional lifeguard supervision during pool activities. The lifeguard
is directly supervised by the Aquatics Manager.
Job Description:
-
Recognize and respond effectively in
emergencies.

Enforce all aquatic facility
policies, rules and regulations.

Inspect the facility on a daily
schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the head
lifeguard/manager.

Complete records and reports.
-
Participate in regular in-service
training sessions.

Exercise regularly to maintain
fitness level (strength and endurance)

Complete additional duties as
assigned by manager.

Initiate the emergency response plan
and call EMS (911) if necessary.

Participate in other duties as
assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
-
Certifications: Lifeguard Training,
First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

Prefer experience in aquatic
environments that include swim instruction, basic pool safety and
maintenance, in addition to lifeguarding.

Be at least 16 years of age or older.
